Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
QED Imperium Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. We operate trivia entertainment experiences under the brands Quiz Eat Drink, Tardeo de Trivia, and Eureka. In this policy "QED Imperium", "we", "us" and "our" refer to QED Imperium Ltd.
For questions about this policy or your data, contact us at: privacy@qedimperium.com
2. What data we collect
We collect personal data in two ways:
- Data you give us directly — when you fill in a booking or enquiry form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), and event details.
- Data collected automatically — when you visit our website: pages viewed, time on site, device and browser type, approximate location (country/city from IP address), and interactions such as button clicks.
3. How we use your data
- To respond to booking and franchise enquiries.
- To improve our website and understand how visitors use it.
- To measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Our legal basis for processing is legitimate interests (analytics and site improvement), consent (marketing cookies and advertising measurement), and contract performance where you have made an enquiry.
4. Analytics tools
RudderStack
We use RudderStack as our customer data platform. RudderStack collects event data (page views, form submissions) and routes it to downstream analytics tools. Data is processed in the EU. No personal data is shared with RudderStack beyond what is needed for routing. See RudderStack's privacy policy.
Amplitude
We use Amplitude for product analytics — understanding which parts of the site visitors engage with. Amplitude may set cookies and collect IP addresses (truncated before storage). Data is stored on Amplitude's servers in the US under standard contractual clauses. You can opt out via our cookie banner. See Amplitude's privacy policy.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure website traffic and visitor behaviour. GA4 uses cookies to distinguish users and sessions. IP addresses are anonymised. Data is stored by Google LLC (US) under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. You can opt out via our cookie banner or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. See Google's privacy policy.
5. Advertising tools
Meta Conversions API (CAPI)
We use Meta's Conversions API to send conversion events (such as form submissions) directly from our servers to Meta Platforms Inc. This helps us measure the effectiveness of ads shown on Facebook and Instagram. The data shared may include hashed email addresses or phone numbers where you have provided them. Meta acts as a data processor under our instructions. See Meta's privacy policy.
Google Ads
We use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure actions taken after clicking one of our ads. Google may place cookies on your device for this purpose. Data is processed by Google LLC (US) under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. You can manage your Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com.
6. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies. When you first visit our site, a consent banner (powered by CookieYes) asks for your preferences. You can change your consent at any time by clicking the cookie settings link in the footer.
We use the following categories of cookies:
- Strictly necessary — required for the site to function. Cannot be disabled.
- Analytics — help us understand how visitors use the site (RudderStack, Amplitude, Google Analytics).
- Marketing — used to measure ad campaign performance (Meta CAPI, Google Ads).
7. Data retention
Enquiry data submitted via our forms is retained for 24 months from the date of submission, or until you ask us to delete it. Analytics data is retained according to the default settings of each third-party tool (typically 14–26 months).
8. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction or deletion; restrict or object to processing; and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@qedimperium.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK at ico.org.uk, or with your local supervisory authority in the EU.
9. Third-party links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to read their policies.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
